Buy a measurement mic like the Beyerdynamic MM1 for $199, which is what the Dolby reps in LA use, or if you want to spend less then buy the DBX RTA-M for $99 or the Behringer ECM8000 for $59. They all work fine. You probably already have a USB mic interface, but if you don't there are plenty available cheap, like the Focusrite Scarlet Solo for $89.
